{Double the Fun!}-Austin child & family photographer

When you get two 4 year olds in a photo shoot, you know to expect the unexpected! These two kept me on my toes, but having a daughter exactly the same age, I was totally used to that! This was my 3rd year to document this family and I look forward to continuing to watch them grow over the years. We did several awesome wall pieces from this shoot including a 54 inch gallery wrap for the breakfast room and a gorgeous custom framed piece for Miss N’s room.

….but you can’t take Texas out of the girl! Baby Julia came in with her parents while on vacation from California. Both parents being native Texans themselves, had to get a few shots of Baby J sporting her Red, White and Blue. She was so happy during the shoot and had plenty of gummy smiles for me. We ended up designing several great pieces from this shoot including a great gallery wrap for her bedroom.

This is the verse that Mom picked for Baby Callin’s birth announcements. I loved it! I feel the same way about my two precious angels.

Alissa and I have been friends since high school…went to Texas A&M together…and randomly wound up in the same child birth class when we were pregnant with our first ones. We both delivered within 24 hours of each other, so she became my late night texting friend (when I wasn’t catching up on early season’s of Grey’s Anatomy).

It’s funny how those early months of having a newborn are so exhausting, but I look back on those days with such fond memories. I never knew I was such a baby person until I had one! I would have 10 babies just to be pregnant and have a newborn over and over again. Too bad my husband says two girls is ENOUGH!

{Butterflies and Fairies}- Austin Children’s Photographer

This shoot captured the true spirit of these little girls (my very own Angel Babies). Miss A is a true princess and girlie girl. She loves to prance around doing a butterfly dance, so the wings were her idea. My little Miss M is the active, adventurous one…oh, and a crazy about shoes…especially her Crocs.

This shoot is going to be a display in our “Fairy Garden” playroom, complete with my new line of Wild Sorbet frames. (I will be sure to post a photo of the completed project when finished!

The S kids participated in my Matilda Jane Fashion Shoot special…and these two children were so much fun to photograph! Miss C is such a ham for the camera and Mr. G was fun to chase around. He gave me a work out! I loved the converse shoes that mom picked out for the shoot. The one of the final products was an awesome Storyboard for their playroom, complete with Wild Sorbet frame.

What an amazing time I had photographing these three cuties! I loved the look of this family’s Tuscan style home, and encouraged mom to do the session there. She was open to anything I wanted to photograph…including letting her 2 year old wear boots on their beautiful dining room table! I thinking the end result was totally worth it! These children have some modeling in their future….what amazing eyes they all have!

What a precious little baby Triston is! He was the perfect little subject for his newborn shoot…combine just the right amount of awake and asleep time. You just never know what you will get with babies.

It was so hard to pick which one to do for the wall piece with this one…so many great options! We finally decided on the one in Daddy’s hand. Good choice, Shannon!

The Esquell Family came in for their family portrait last month. What a sweet family! I always say, as a photographer, I justify not going to the gym because I chase kids and brides around all day. These guys kept me hopin’…they are full of energy! But all three boys are such gentlemen. Thanks for a great shoot!

I have been photographing the Hosch Family since before Miss N was even born!Â Everytime we shoot together, we have so much fun with Miss N (who just happens to LOVE the camera).Â Their family is in the tire business, so they wanted to capture some images with an antique truck…I knew just the place!

OK, Ms. K …today is the day!Â I don’t need to call, because I know you will have already checked the blog:)Â Here is a sneak peak before your ordering session tomorrow.

They told me it was supposed to rain…I said a “chance of rain” isn’t worth thinking about unless it is over 60%.Â (what do I know?)Â It started raining 2 minutes into the shoot.Â So we made the best of it and had a lot of fun in the process…thank God for awnings!Â Miss A is a little diva and a total ham in front of the camera.Â And Mr. C??Â Check out those amazing baby blues!Â Can’t wait to show you the rest of them!

Miss H came in for her 6 month (or a little later ) baby portrait session.Â I did her mommy and daddy’s wedding a few years ago and soon, they will be a family of 4!Â Miss H is a great model…she is always so happy every time we do a portrait session!Â Can’t wait to meet her little brother or sister!

Locations for these portrait sessions will include Austin, Georgetown, Round Rock, and Copeland.

Please note that these are the only weekend dates available for the Fall Season.Â Weekday appointments are still available and all regular price session fees will include 24 custom cards.Â This is a great way to get both holiday cards and gifts taking care of at the same time!

Oh my goodness…this little one is PRECIOUS!!!Â It totally makes me want another one.Â Miss Z is the new baby of my best friend, Ms. L and she is like my third Angel Baby.Â I was able to stay with them for a few days in Dallas, to help out the new parents and of course photograph Miss Z.Â She was such a trooper and I got to try out several of my new favorite newborn props.Â Here is a sneak peak for L&M…

{Miss R’s turns 3- Children’s Portraits}-Round Rock, Texas

In the middle of this 100+ degree heat, Miss R’s portrait session was unseasonably cold!Â Weird Texas weather.Â I love Miss R’s blonde hair and striking blue eyes…it’s like she is staring into your soul.Â I have been doing portraits of Miss R and her family since she was a newborn, and it’s hard to believe how quickly she is growing up!
