Focal Point Photographics began in 2001 when I shot my first wedding. Since then, my company has grown to be a full circle portrait studio shooting weddings, babies, children, family, high school seniors and weddings again. I love it all! I believe everyone should have a beautiful family history recorded in photographs and I love helping to tell the stories.
I met the love of my life, Blake, on a photo shoot as luck would have it and we were married in 2005. We had our first Angel Baby in November 2006 and our second Angel Baby in August 2008. They are my 3 cheerleaders and biggest fans.
This shoot captured the true spirit of these little girls (my very own Angel Babies). Miss A is a true princess and girlie girl. She loves to prance around doing a butterfly dance, so the wings were her idea. My little Miss M is the active, adventurous one…oh, and a crazy about shoes…especially her Crocs.
This shoot is going to be a display in our “Fairy Garden” playroom, complete with my new line of Wild Sorbet frames. (I will be sure to post a photo of the completed project when finished!
The S kids participated in my Matilda Jane Fashion Shoot special…and these two children were so much fun to photograph! Miss C is such a ham for the camera and Mr. G was fun to chase around. He gave me a work out! I loved the converse shoes that mom picked out for the shoot. The one of the final products was an awesome Storyboard for their playroom, complete with Wild Sorbet frame.
What an amazing time I had photographing these three cuties! I loved the look of this family’s Tuscan style home, and encouraged mom to do the session there. She was open to anything I wanted to photograph…including letting her 2 year old wear boots on their beautiful dining room table! I thinking the end result was totally worth it! These children have some modeling in their future….what amazing eyes they all have!
The S Family made a trip to Austin from H-town to celebrate Miss O turning 6 months. What a Doll Baby! She is so precious and I feel honored to capture this milestone in her life. There were so many adorable ones, that we ended up designing an album for their session…but here are a few highlight photographs. The first one is photographer favorite…
What a precious little baby Triston is! He was the perfect little subject for his newborn shoot…combine just the right amount of awake and asleep time. You just never know what you will get with babies.
It was so hard to pick which one to do for the wall piece with this one…so many great options! We finally decided on the one in Daddy’s hand. Good choice, Shannon!
The Esquell Family came in for their family portrait last month. What a sweet family! I always say, as a photographer, I justify not going to the gym because I chase kids and brides around all day. These guys kept me hopin’…they are full of energy! But all three boys are such gentlemen. Thanks for a great shoot!
It’s finally here! Matilda Jane just launched their new line TODAY…and I am so excited to get my clients in these clothes, so I can photograph them! I have been photographing the Hosch Family since before Miss N was even born! Everytime we shoot together, we have so much fun with Miss N (who just happens to LOVE the camera). Their family is in the tire business, so they wanted to capture some images with an antique truck…I knew just the place!

Check out this sweet baby boy! Isn’t he precious?? At such a young age, he can really work it for the camera. Mama A came in for a maternity session earlier this Fall (check the Maternity posts on the blog for some of those amazing shots). So I was really excited when I got to finally meet Baby G. I can’t wait to watch him grow up!
This year, the T family wanted to do something different that reflected each child’s personality. So we headed to downtown Austin and brought some extra family members too. These kids are so funny! We had a great time on this portrait session. I know you have been dying to see a couple photographs, Mama C…so here’s your peek! See you soon
