Thank you for visiting my blog! Here you will find a collection of my recent work and specials. Check back often...it's always changing!
Focal Point Photographics began in 2001 when I shot my first wedding. Since then, my company has grown to be a full circle portrait studio shooting weddings, babies, children, family, high school seniors and weddings again. I love it all! I believe everyone should have a beautiful family history recorded in photographs and I love helping to tell the stories.
I met the love of my life, Blake, on a photo shoot as luck would have it and we were married in 2005. We had our first Angel Baby in November 2006 and our second Angel Baby in August 2008. They are my 3 cheerleaders and biggest fans.
The first thing H&A told me when the scheduled their engagement portrait session, is that they LOVED their cars! So of course we had to get their “babies” in one of the photographs. I love the red accents Ms. H pulled into her accessories. I had a lot of favorites from this session, but the car shot is what is making it to the mantel at their home.
I look forward to their Plantation House wedding in a few weeks!
Michelle and Frank met in med school and have had a busy engagement. Planning a wedding, living in different cities, finishing up residency and medical school… I am sure they are ready for the Big Day to get here! Their wedding will be at Villa Antonia in April. Here are a view favorite images from their engagement session.

I am really looking forward to photographing Amanda and Ed’s upcoming wedding at Villa Antonia in Austin, Texas. Here are some images from their Engagement guest book…
I had a great time with Jamie and Jeremy at their downtown engagement session. This couple has amazing energy and were total naturals in front of the camera. The colors were so beautiful in these images, I just couldn’t stand to do a lot of black and white. Jamie, you are going to HAVE to do an album just for engagements! Enjoy the sneak peek…there’s more to come
(P.S. I am the photographer for J&J’s wedding to be held at the Vineyard at Florence next May.)
Wow! This session was a hard edit…how do you narrow down when you have such an adorable couple?!? Amy and Matt came in town for their engagement session last week and we had so much fun breaking in Amy’s heels while we hiked downtown. Matt got to wear his signature color…white…and I tried really hard to keep it clean. (I am glad it wasn’t ME laying on those gross sidewalks
)Â As a photographer, it’s always fun to try out a new location, so we tried a few spots I haven’t done in a while.
They are such a fun loving couple and I am really looking forward to their Villa Antonia wedding in November. I couldn’t pick just a few photographs, so there are many for your viewing pleasure!

Next week is A&M’s wedding at the Driskell Hotel in Austin, Texas. I am looking so forward to it…this couple is so FUN!! Here are the pages from the custom designed guest book we did for their wedding day ( we did their engagement session a few months ago in downtown Austin.)
